HEICO is ISO9001:2000 registered and AS9100:2001 compliant and passed a US Air Force Joint Air Logistics Commanders (JALC) Handbook Critical Safety Item Site Survey (audit). HEICO is currently a U.S. Department of Defense prime contractor with lengthy contracting history with the US Air Force and Defense Logistics Agency for a wide range of reverse-engineered and break-out parts including Critical Safety/Critical Application Items (CSIs/CAIs). HEICO has never had a single QDR with the Government.
As the US Department of Defense agencies look toward long term sustainment issues, we are beginning to see more off-the-shelf commercial weapons systems entering military service, where HEICO already has thousands of FAA/PMA parts developed through reverse engineering that have direct application on these weapons systems. Because many of these parts have thousands of hours of service from major airlines worldwide and very complete data packages, HEICO is able to meet Engineering Support Activity (ESA) source qualification requirements even for critical rotating parts. For this reason HEICO provides military customers worldwide with a real opportunity for cost reductions up to 40% on otherwise sole-source parts where OEM technical data is not available. HEICO has the ability to develop alternate parts and complete data packages without the use of OEM proprietary technical data, which creates competition and cost savings on otherwise sole source parts to the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
